During one of the lessons about who God is one of the Grade 4 boys in the class shouted: “Jesus is a ganster” in a very derogative way while mocking the facilitator. Darren, the facilitator, was shocked in that moment and did not know what to do. Suddenly one of the other boys in the class got up and asked if they could pray for this boy because God is their Father and we cannot call him a gangster. This calmed the entire class and this young boy led the class in a complete opposite way (in prayer) as his other peer wanted too. The boy who called God a gangster apologized in front of the whole class for his behavior and asked for forgiveness. This boy caught something of the heart of God and instead of arguing or opposing him in a violent way, as we see many of them do most of the time, he stood up and prayed.
